So What's this about?

If you are reading this you are probably wondering what is this all about.  Last year (2010) the U.S. population passed the 300,0000,000 mark.  With this in mind we wanted to see if we could apply a business model that many companies use which refers to sales volumes.  For those who don't know what I am talking about let me try to explain.  One way to do business is to sell your product/service to a few customers for a large margin (big price) and the other is to sell your product/service to as many people as possible for a low margin (low price).

If you have ever taken an economics class you know that this has to do with supply and demand and how the price of the item depends on how many people are interested in it.

Now what with this experiment we want to accomplish a few things.  The first is to take advantage of the low housing prices in the market.  From what we see and read on the news, prices for housing are nearly at record lows.  The second thing we want to accomplish is to see how much money we can get from as many people out there.  If we could get a penny a piece from the total population of the United States
(300,000,000 pennies) that equals: $3,000,000

We don't expect to reach anywhere near that mark but we do hope that people decide to give us larger amounts. $0.25, $0.50, $1, $2, $5, or more...

Finally and perhaps the most important of the goals is to get enough money from donations to give to charity.  We were thinking about donating 25% of all money collected to charities like Habitat for Humanity or what ever other organization you decide.. please contact us for suggestions after you make your donation.

We are not a gready group and we want an avarage priced home in South Florida so what we want is to collect just enough.. depending on the length of time maybe enough for a downpayment will due... Any amounts collected above that will go in the pot for charity as well.

If the experiment proves to be a success and I know it will. We would help other do the same thing.  Americans have proven time and again to be the most charitable group of individuals on earth.

On this blog we will include pictures of "THE HOME" and keep you updated of the experiments results.  Also we will include proof that part of your contributions went to charity and stories of how those were put to work .

PAYPAY will be used as it is the most recognized online payment solution.

Thanks,
